Black Manta is Aquaman's greatest arch-enemy and would-be-conqueror of Atlantis. But, before he become the way that he is, he was an assassin for hire. While on a mission to kills the president, he was foiled by Aquaman, vowing vengeance on him for foiling and ruining his mission. He become Black Manta where he will not rest until Aquaman is sent to Dave Jones' locker with a harpoon in his heart. He is also responible of creating the Awesome Threesome.
